Money Quote: Rick Conason
Although the Catholic saints were very different from each other in temperament, learning, and spirituality, they had one thing in common. All were utterly convinced that the Catholic Church was the only true Church. I reasoned that if these great Christian men and women believed this, it very likely was true.

FishCampMore,
There seems to be an air of virtue about your move from the CEC to the Roman Catholic Church. Interesting.... Have you secured usage rights and permissions for the various photos and images you use? I find it hard to trust the veracity of one who would not do so.
You make bold claims, which must be weighed by factual evidence; much of what you've presented are issues of interpretation, for which you've presented no compelling evidence to drive the argument to one side or the other. If you keep pursuing truth, objectively, not with presuppositions and biases, perhaps you will offer up a useful discourse, but keep on trying.
Unconvinced and Awaiting Further Information
Hey Unconvinced,
Hmmm. I never really thought about the copyright issues concerning photos on the internet. You make a good point and one which I need to look into.
You are right that I have not presented compelling evidence for the Catholic Church. I thought it best to start by raising points and perhaps start a discussion, rather than post an exhaustive treatise in defense of the Catholic faith right out of the gate. Although, I must say, I am not aware of making any "bold" claims as of yet; and the claims I have made thus far are not mine really; I'm merely reiterating those of the Catholic Church.
Feel free to help me offer up a useful discourse by joining in the discussion. I look forward to your input.
Although the copyright stuff may be true, I sure do miss your amazing photos!
Hope to see them again soon.
It is interesting that Anonymous (in this thread) would deflect the discussion to an issue of copyright. It is the liberal tactic of sidetracking legitimacy with some other "issue" that turns the guilt back on the originator of the questions/statements/opposition. Liberal democrats do that all the time, chosing to attack in a personal way some personal flaw in the opponent to relegate them to irrelevancy.
"I find it hard to trust the veracity of one who would not do so."
This is intersting coming from a CEC person considering that they will take a word from a self-proclaimed prophet whose prophecies - to my knowledge to date - have yet to come to pass and re-directs due to a prophetic impulse, and yet he takes his word.
Can Anonymous really trust anyone but himself?
"If you keep pursuing truth, objectively, not with presuppositions and biases, perhaps you will offer up a useful discourse, but keep on trying."
The very attemtp at discourse is honorable. Though I disagree at times, this seems to be a good forum for the working out of issues in regards to the CEC and Catholicity.
Would the ABP. of the CEC sit subordinately in council with the RC and the East without displaying arrogance as one who assumes they ARE the Church?
Somehow I don't think Rome would entertain it considering the accusations on the table and the closing of ranks and suppressing of opposition.
